Care That Supports Your Pet’s Whole Life

Nutrition, therapies, and thoughtful veterinary support

Balance Veterinary Care offers integrative, holistic veterinary services designed to support your pet’s whole health—body, mind, and comfort—through every stage of life. We work alongside pet parents to understand what’s going on beneath the surface and create thoughtful, individualized care plans using nutrition, supplements, therapies, and both holistic and conventional tools when appropriate.

Wellness Plans

A Personalized Roadmap to Better Pet Health

We believe wellness begins with a strong foundation, which is why most clients start with a personalized Wellness Plan and then build from there with targeted therapies, nutrition, and supplements. Our wellness plans are designed to support your pet’s health at every stage of life by addressing the root causes of imbalance, not just symptoms.

Our wellness plans are the heart of our practice. They provide structure, clarity, and ongoing support so you’re never left guessing what your pet needs next. Whether you’re brand new to holistic care or already exploring natural options, we meet you where you are.

Each plan begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your pet’s history, lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and current concerns. From there, we develop a customized approach that may include diet changes, supplements, therapies, and gentle monitoring over time.

These plans are ideal for:

  • Chronic or unresolved health issues
  • Aging pets
  • Preventative, proactive care
  • Pet parents seeking deeper answers

Diet & Nutrition Class

Explore Holistic Care Before Your Appointment

For pet parents who want to learn more before committing to a full wellness plan, our Diet and Nutrition Class is a great first step. Our 40-minute Zoom presentation covers the fundamentals of pet health and nutrition, with a strong focus on raw feeding.

Sessions are offered weekly and include live Q&A, or you can watch the recording at your convenience. Understanding nutrition basics upfront can help you save time, money, and uncertainty. Many clients begin implementing small changes immediately and often notice improvements before their first visit.

Wellness Appointments

Three Ways to Be Seen

Clinic Visits

Our South Eugene clinic offers a peaceful, welcoming environment. Cushioned floor mats provide comfortable spaces for pets to relax. Clinic visits follow the same thoughtful approach as home visits and are also billed by time, not per pet. First appointments generally last 45–60 minutes.

Phone Consultations

New and returning clients may schedule phone consultations with Dr. Teri Sue when an in‑person visit isn’t possible. For the most productive consult, please provide prior veterinary records and prepare a list of questions or concerns in advance.

Home Visits

In‑home visits help reduce stress for pets who struggle with travel, carriers, or unfamiliar environments, especially sick or senior animals. Working in your home allows pets to remain calm and relaxed, which often leads to better assessments and outcomes.

We charge by time rather than by the number of pets, making multi‑pet visits more cost‑effective. First visits typically last 45–60 minutes.

During a home visit, Dr. Teri Sue will:

  • Perform a physical exam
  • Review medical history
  • Conduct necessary procedures (blood draws, vaccines, etc.)
  • Create a customized treatment plan centered on nutrition and supplements

Integrative & Holistic Therapies

Supporting the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal

Laser Therapy

State‑of‑the‑art laser therapy is available for pain management, inflammation reduction, and tissue healing, offered both in‑clinic and during home visits.

Cryo Therapy

Cryo therapy uses a specialized CryoProbe with nitrous oxide to safely remove skin tags or small lesions without anesthesia. Treatments are quick, require no aftercare, and can be performed in‑clinic or during a home visit.

Ozone Therapies

Ozone therapy supports detoxification, circulation, immune response, and cellular healing. Depending on your pet’s needs, options may include:

  • O3UVB therapy
  • Ozone nebulization
  • Ozone ear insufflation
  • Ozonated saline
  • Ozonated subcutaneous fluids
  • Rectal ozone (RO3)

These therapies are often combined with nutritional and microbiome support for deeper healing.

Microbiome Restoration (FMBRT)

Fecal Microbiome Restorative Therapy supports gut health by restoring beneficial organisms after imbalance. This therapy is typically performed following rectal ozone and may be supported with daily FMBRT tabs as recommended.

End of Life

Compassionate Support, At Home

“Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you.”
― Isla Paschal Richardson

We consider in‑home end‑of‑life care one of our most meaningful services. Dr. Teri Sue provides a peaceful, humane three‑step process that allows pets to transition in the comfort of their home, surrounded by love.

We guide families gently through what to expect and coordinate aftercare, including home burial or cremation through our trusted partner,  West Coast Pet Memorial Services in Junction City, Oregon.

Grief support resources are available on our Education page. We honor each family’s unique experience and timeline.

What Our Community Has Shared . . .

“We were so grateful you could help us with Maddy in her final days. We’ll always be grateful for your tender care.”
— Angela

“I really appreciated your care and compassion during Isabelle’s final days in 2016. It was so helpful that you came to my home on a Sunday so that we wouldn’t have to wait another day with her suffering—and that it could be done at our house where she was loved and cared for and where she felt safe.”
